Split over two levels, totalling some 322 sqm, each of the eight Spa Pool Villas is designed to create the perfect romantic hideaway. Enjoy a sensuous spa treatment at your personal outdoor massage deck and let our trained therapists work their magic. Revel in the privacy of an exclusive outdoor area equipped with the massage beds, loungers and a dining area with birds-eye view of the idyllic surroundings of Mayakoba's lagoons. Specially designed for couples, with romantic touches such as the two outdoor showers, this villa category is exclusive for two to ensure privacy, with the most private views.

Two-Bedroom Pool Villa
Covering a spacious living area of 512 sqm, each of our Two-Bedroom Villas are a haven of privacy and indulgence. This villa caters for up to four guests in a variety of settings, and redefines tranquil living with its extensive furnishings and verdant gardens. Each bedroom is served by a separate entrance, while still accessible to the landscaped garden and pool area.

• Two-Bedroom Sunset Lagoon Pool Villa is ideal for beach lovers as it offers close proximity to the beach.
• Two-Bedroom Sunrise Lagoon Pool Villa opens out on a calm lagoon, with convenient access to the main lobby and Saffron restaurant.
• Two-Bedroom Estuary Pool Villa provides the ideal hideaway with sunset views over a lagoon.

Terrace Residence
Designed for families, friends and groups, the three-storey, three-bedroom terrace houses provides a living area with s balcony overlooking the golf course.

On the sun-drenched roof deck with swimming pool, an al fresco lounge area provides space for outdoor meals. On the middle level, a living area is equipped with LCD TV screen, and balcony.

On the below-ground floor, all three en-suites bedroom with their own bathrooms, are suitable to sleep up to 6 people. In addition, the master bedroom is equipped with a king bed, bath tub, and LCD TV screen, while the second bedroom contains a king bed and the third bedroom contains two single beds. Guests in the second and third bedrooms will be able to watch television in the living area on the middle floor.

El Camaleon Golf Club, Mayakoba

Opened in 2006, the El Camaleon Golf Club, Mayakoba has quickly become one of the most talked about golf courses in Riviera Maya, Mexico. Meaning "The Chameleon", the golf course earns its name by weaving through three distinct ecosystems - jungle, dense mangrove and stunning, oceanfront stretches of sand.

Add to this the unique limestone canals that interconnect the resort and you have a golf course that will be difficult to forget. Designed using Greg Norman's "least disturbance" approach, the care for the environment is evident from the first hole, where golfers will navigate over an open cave, called a "cenote" in the middle of the fairway.

The El Camaleon golf course is Greg Norman's first Mexican course design and the first course to ever host the PGA TOUR in Mexico, annually hosting the Mayakoba Golf Classic, Riviera Maya - Cancun every February. As well, the El Camaleon Golf Club hosts the second golf course in Mexico to be certified as an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, one of the world's leading environmental certifications. Audubon's stringent program includes environmental planning, wildlife, and habitat management, water conservation, chemical use reduction, as well as safety and water quality management.

While each hole shines with its own particular magic, it's the par 3s that already are earning the loudest raves. The 7th and 15th holes play right to the edge of the Caribbean Sea with the sand and the spray punctuating the breeze. In the distance is one of the world's largest coral reefs and the island of Cozumel. The 10th is another short hole that is long on memories. The figure eight green is lined with drama. A shot too long or to the right drops deep into the crystal waters of the canal.

While the golf course is a standout, the surrounding golf amenities are equally as impressive. The contemporary, copper-topped clubhouse is a full service facility that rises above the 18th green. The adjoining practice facilities are among the best in Mexico and include a double-ended, 350-yard driving range, a 20,000 sq. ft. short game area with putting and chipping greens. With an inspiring sunrise view overlooking the extensive Reflections Pool, enjoy our sumptuous breakfast buffet each morning with a complement of fresh juices, healthy cereals and yogurts, and a variety of breads, cheese and cold cuts, Asian selections, and hot dishes to wake up to.

In the evenings, treat your palate to a modern Mexican menu in a class of its own. Each dish pays homage to the highest quality Mexican ingredients while also presenting a wide array of popular dishes. The elegant selection of starters include a delicate scallop ceviche in a tango with fresh mango sauce, while a rich ayocote bean cappuccino receives a shot of crispy red rice powder along with a skewer of grilled lobster. Saffron
Banyan Tree's signature restaurant serves contemporary Thai cuisine, prepared specially by our expatriate chefs from Phuket, Thailand. Overlooking the lobby, lagoon and the mangroves, the restaurant's three over-water decks provide an intimate romantic setting that caters to special occasions.

Traditional Thai cooking techniques are preserved in dishes such as the evergreen tom yum goong - a sour and spicy lemongrass soup with juicy prawns; as well as pad Thai - flat rice noodles stir-fried with a balance of tamarind paste, fish sauce, chili, and more. Discover sauces that you never knew existed - hot basil, black-pepper garlic, mango-sweet chili jam. Open your tastebuds to yet more flavours in the grilled jumbo prawns accentuated by five-flavour tamarind sauce and star fruit salad, or indulge in a well deserved dessert of flamed mango with black sesame ice cream as well as a coconut crème brulee with ginger syrup.

In addition, this is the place to go if you need a wide variety of finger food, salads, sandwiches and a good chocolate brownie or New York cheesecake, all enjoyed in the proximity of incomparable beach views.

Set in the tranquil surroundings of the Banyan Tree Spa, dining at Tamarind is an experience not to be missed. Fresh ingredients, organic products, exotic herbs, roots, spices and aromatic salts create the distinctive flavors of Tamarind's hearty eclectic cuisine.

Our Mediterranean-inspired dishes are sophisticated in its execution, from the classic pairing of watermelon and goat cheese, to the finely tuned risotto with duck comfit. For mains, choose del mar (from the sea) such as the main lobster served with olive oil powder, or de la tierra (from the land) and revel in a grilled Kobe fillet simply garnished with wild mushroom bread.

Every couple should experience the romance of Banyan Tree's drifting dinner. Step aboard the "Ixchel - Godess of the Moon", Banyan Tree's unique and traditional dining trajinera.

Against the backdrop of the Mayakoba lagoon, you and your partner will experience the delectable cuisine prepared from one of our culinary hosts. The evening will be brought to a climax as the sun sets over your lagoon tour and dusk paves the way for a night full of promises.

The Ixchel departs from the main lobby at 5:30pm and at 8:00pm, depending on availability. Dinner lasts approximately two-and-a-half hours, for up to four diners only. Kindly make your reservation a minimum of 24 hours prior to departure time.
