Decisions, decisions. Its a "tough" choice between reclining beside our Lagoon style, multi-level pool, building sandcastles on the beach, snorkeling in turquoise blue waters or shopping along Boulevard Marina. There is always something going on at Villa La Estancia, both on and off-site and our Concierge is happy to make any and all arrangements.
ATV & Motorcycle Rentals
Both of these modes of transport offer a wonderful way to explore the surrounding desert. There are several options for renting; helmet and goggles a must. The beaches of Los Cabos are part of a fragile ecosystem, so ATVs and Motorcycles are not allowed on the beaches.
Boat Cruises and Sailing Charters
A multitude of charter companies are available at the marinas and offer sightseeing and romantic sunset cruises of varying lengths (and varying degrees of "atmosphere"). You can also choose from luxury yachts, racing sailboats, glass-bottom boats or catamarans. A boat ride of some kind to El Arco, the natural rock arch and symbol of Los Cabos, is a must.
Golf
Los Cabos boasts eight golf courses, two of which are rated in the top 50 golf courses in the world. The desert terrain, abundant wildlife and stunning ocean vistas provide an extraordinary backdrop for your swing. In addition, you'll find championship courses developed by some of the most renowned designers in the game of golf including Nicklaus, Watson and the Dye Corporation.
World Class Golf at Cabo San Lucas Country Club
Get preferred access through The Villa Group!
Golfers will enjoy this Dye designed 18-hole golf course known as the Cabo San Lucas Country Club. The Cabo San Lucas Country Club is set amid endless cacti and blooming Bougainvillea bushes and is the area's only course offering views of the famed landmark
Hiking and Mountain Biking
Striking rock formations, indigenous vegetation and abundant wildlife are just some of the gems you'll find on a hike or bike ride through the surrounding desert. A popular excursion includes touring nearby Sierra de la Laguna, but there are lots of options to choose from, including Santiago, with its pristine waterfalls. Just take plenty of water, sunscreen and a map.
Horseback Riding
Even if you've never ridden before, you'll enjoy the view from the back of a gently-ambling horse. There are private rides, guided tours and trail rides to appeal to every kind of rider, whether you are a first-time fun-seeker who would prefer to stay on the beach or an expert with plans on heading to the mountains.
Playa El Medano
We don't mean to brag but it's hard not to when your front yard fronts one of the most popular beaches in Cabo San Lucas. Villa La Estancia is located on El Medano (The Dune Beach) where a variety of recreational opportunities are literally at your doorstep. The choice of activities is vast: everything from beach volleyball to kayaking, parasailing, jet-skiing or simply sunning on a lounge chair and watching what everyone else is doing.
Scuba Diving and Snorkeling
The clear waters of Los Cabos offer endless underwater adventures for divers of all levels. The dramatic underwater sites at Land's End, where visibility reaches up to 50 feet in the winter and 100 feet in the summer, provide special enjoyment for scuba divers. If you love to snorkel, head to the breathtaking Marine Sanctuary at Playa El Medano where scores of colorful fish are waiting to be discovered.
Sport Fishing
Los Cabos is the Sport Fishing Capital of the World, boasting more than 650 different species of fish. Marlin, Dorado, Roosterfish, Tuna, Wahoo, Cabrilla and Sierra are just a few of the varieties you'll find here. At the Los Cabos Marina you will find a large selection of boats to charter for however long you choose.
Tennis
The resort offers two private championship courts which are open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., so players of every skill level may enjoy an invigorating game.
Whale Watching
January to March is the peak time to join one of the many local tour companies on a memorable whale-watching excursion. This is when thousands of grey whales migrate every year from cool Alaska waters to our warm Baja Peninsula. It's an experience you won't want to miss.
