At El Tamarindo Beach & Golf Resort, each meal is a distinctive experience. Guests are invited to dine at a variety of locations throughout the property including at the main restaurant, in the comfort of the villa or on the beach.
Romantic meals are a specialty of the resort and can be arranged on the patio of the villas, on the resort's private pier, or beside the gentle waves on the beach, all of which provide an intimate dining experience. A personal waiter and chef, paired with scores of twinkling candles, set the scene for a magical evening.
For large groups or special events, meals can be arranged at the resort's beach club, on the beach or at the outdoor dining pavilion, located adjacent to the beach club. And no matter how large the group, the romance of El Tamarindo is always evident from glowing tiki torches and small luminarias to soothing music and unmatched cuisine.
La Higuera
El Tamarindo Beach & Golf Resort features world-class dining in an unparalleled oceanfront setting. Set amidst the beauty and natural bounty of Costa Careyes, Mexico, El Tamarindo's restaurant, La Higuera, features innovative, yet timeless menu items that best reflect the resort's unique location. La Higuera treats guests to the fine offerings of the coastal states and regions of Mexico, highlighting the area's fresh vegetables and seafood, the basis of traditional Mexican cuisine.
The breakfast, lunch and dinner menus at La Higuera are modified each day to reflect the freshest meats and produce available.
La Higuera is situated adjacent to the resort's inviting infinity pool and features al fresco dining beneath the canopy of a mature fig tree, after which the restaurant is named. In the evenings, lanterns hung from the tree's branches gently illuminate the tables below as the moon dances on the Pacific. An unobstructed 180-degree ocean view makes breakfast, lunch or dinner a refreshing experience.
Bar Sol
Enjoy a captivating sunset at the intimate bar at La Higuera. Open for lunch and dinner, the bar sits quietly beside the resort's infinity pool and beneath a large palapa roof, providing an ideal setting for a pre-dinner cocktail or post-dinner nightcap.
Hoyo 9
Located at the midway point of the spectacular El Tamarindo Golf Course is Hole 9, a unique eatery perched high on a hill overlooking the greens and waters below. If you are enjoying a round of golf, the restaurant is an ideal place to refuel for the remainder of the course, and for guests who are not golfing, the restaurant is a great place to enjoy a unique afternoon meal.
Hole 9 serves a simple menu of chips and salsa, ceviche, grilled arrachera sandwiches (very tender beef, signature of Mexico), fish and chicken sandwiches for mid-day dining in addition to offering a full bar. Aside for the year-round splendor of the restaurant, it is also an ideal place to spot migrating whales in January and February.

For large scale functions and parties, the huge aft deck becomes a major open space with the two tenders launched. Step up to the pool deck and be greeted by a barbeque and wet bar, comfortable sun lounging areas and two seating areas. It's no surprise that this is where the most people enjoy themselves during the day, if they are not on the jet skis or running ashore in the tenders. The interior has been professionally redecorated bringing a luxury feel to all areas. The guest accommodation comprises a master cabin, two double cabins, two thin cabins and a study on the main deck forward that can be converted to provide a further twin guest stateroom to cater for a party of 12. The bathrooms are equally well appointed in fine marble, as one would expect of a yacht of this caliber. Efficient guest support comes from the professional crew who has enlarged crew's quarters, a fine new gallery and capacious freezer space for extended trips.
