Spa del Mar
Spa del Mar, the finest European spa experience in Cancun, borders the white sand beaches of the Caribbean Sea and the Laguna Nichupte. A member of "Leading Spas of the World" and recently named as one of the top spas in "North America, Caribbean and at Sea" by Conde Nast Traveler, the spa caters to the diverse needs of its clientele and offers a level of service that has made it a destination in and of itself. The spa offers a treatment menu that features innovative sea facial treatments, organic body treatments, massage therapy, and a fascinating waterfall.
The 15,000 square foot European style spa includes steam and inhalation rooms, saunas, Jacuzzis, cold plunge pools and 14 treatment rooms. These rooms include the most up-to-date skin and body treatments such as a Vichy shower and hydrotherapy technologies.
Committed to providing a unique experience for each visit, Spa del Mar incorporates several native ingredients such as coffee, chocolate, and honey into many treatments, for example the spa's Chocolate Fondue Wrap. In addition, Spa del Mar offers one of the premiere fitness centers in Cancun complete with Life Fitness equipment; free weights; LCD televisions and music and well as Pilates, Spinning and Yoga classes.
The spa recommends appointments and requires cancellations to be made with at least 24 hours notice. Gift Certificates are available online or at the spa. Please note that all prices are quoted in U.S. dollars, include taxes and valet charges. Prices may be subject to change.
Penguin Club
The resort's Penguin Club not only entertains children with fun, educational activities, but also provides parents with a worry-free break. Supervised by professionally trained staff, the Penguin Club features a children's pool, an outdoor play area, and air-conditioned clubhouse. Activities include piA±ata making, castle building, sand/face painting shell hunting and freeze dancing.
The club is open for children aged 4 to 12, and activities commence at 10am.
Three-Tiered Infinity Pool
The resort's outdoor three-tiered infinity pool is situated on the property's lower level, providing the social hub of the entire resort. Guests can enjoy the motion of the tides while relaxing poolside, perhaps enjoying a selection of unique cuisines and exotic beverages. Each of the three pools has a different temperature, and an oceanfront Jacuzzi with a ten person capacity abuts the pool.
The pool area adjoins with new luxurious cabanas.
The pool is open from 8am until 9pm, and a lifeguard is on duty from 7am until 6pm. A pool concierge service is also available daily. A children's pool is available in the Penguin's Club area.
Tennis Courts
The clay-surfaced tennis courts, located on the upper level of the Spa, provide players a great view of the ocean. Lights allow guests to play into the evening, and reservations or a lesson with a professional instructor can be arranged by calling the concierge. Racquet rental costs $7 per day, night lights cost $10 per hour, and tennis lessons cost $40 per hour.
Fitness Centre
Our complimentary fitness centre spans 7,000 square feet and is located adjacent to the pool. An ideal spot for working out, the centre is fully equipped with a full range of weights, and cardiovascular equipment with built-in radio and plasma televisions with cable. Other features include a fat burner, abs/glutes equipment, treadmill, bike, escalator, chest press, and bicep/tricep press machines. Yoga, Spinning and Pilates classes require reservations with a 24-hour notice and an applicable fee.
