Do your homework if you ever plan a Riviera Maya trip. Ask for safety/death resort status they probably won't admit to ever having any problems. Remember the Occidental Grand Xcaret had a BIG one--the faulty pool design that they were supposed to mainta

UPON ARRIVAL ASKED FOR THE MOST QUIET ROOM AVAILABLE. WAS PLACED DIRECTLY OVER MAIN POOL. IMMEDIATELY REQUESTED DIFFERENT ROOM,TOLD NONE AVAILABLE. DISCOVERED THE BEACH WAS ALMOST NON-EXISTANT. FOOD WAS PLAIN AND FORGETTABLE. ON DAY 2 GOT INCREDIBLY SICK
