Allegro Playacar Resort

My family and I stayed at the Allegro Dec 26-31, 2004. Reading the previous comments I must admit, my expectations were lowered. Upon arriving we found that the hotel was overbooked by 90 (!) rooms. My parents and sister were moved to the hotel next door

Aventura Spa Palace Resort

We almost missed our connection in Charlotte. Not enough time allowed in Itinerary for plane change and possible delays leaving D.C. Air conditioner leaked through ceiling into room at hotel. However, overall a good experience.

Barcelo Maya Beach Resort

This hotel and its staff were amazing. It was absolutely beautiful and there was always something to do. The beaches were beautiful and there was great snorkeling right there.

Property is gorgeous - food is plentiful - water is beautiful - pools are clean - walk into town is close - taxi to Playa Del Carmen - would definitely stay there again. Rooms are large and have balconies
